A Cincinnati mortgage team that answers its own phone

UMCincy is a boutique lending team in Hyde Park. Bearcat Mortgage is how we serve the UC community we came from.

Our story

Built to be small on purpose

Breon Price started in mortgage lending as a UC senior and spent the next decade learning what big lenders get wrong: too many hand-offs, too little explanation, and nobody who owns the outcome.

UMCincy is the answer to that. A small team where the loan officer you meet is the loan officer who closes your loan, and where you can text a real person at 8 p.m. the night before your inspection.

We lend through Swift Home Loans, which gives a small team access to a wide product shelf. That lets us structure the files that don't fit a template: self-employed borrowers, rate buydowns, bridge loans for move-up buyers, one-time-close construction and DSCR loans for investors.

Today, UMCincy is the Preferred and Exclusive Mortgage Lender for University of Cincinnati Football and Baseball. Read about the partnership.

How we lend

Four promises we can actually keep

You'll see the numbers in writing

Payment, cash to close and the rate options, before you write an offer. Updated in writing whenever something changes.

We'll tell you when to wait

If waiting six months to pay down a card or season a deposit gets you a better loan, we'll say so.

Your agent stays in the loop

Status updates at every milestone, so nobody is chasing anybody the week of closing.

One loan officer, start to finish

Breon is on every file. Taylor handles processing from application to closing.

Where we lend

Rooted in Cincinnati

Most of our clients buy in Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties and across Northern Kentucky. We also help clients in Dayton, Columbus, Tennessee and Florida, including second homes and investment properties.

Loans are made by Swift Home Loans, Inc. in states where it is licensed. See state licensing or verify any license at NMLS Consumer Access.
